Mr Rakesh Jayaswal is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in corneal disease, cataract surgery, and refractive laser and lens procedures. Based at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, he has extensive experience treating complex eye conditions and performing advanced vision-correction surgeries.
He graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester and completed specialist ophthalmology training at leading institutions including St George’s Hospital in London and the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
Mr Jayaswal also undertook fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and was appointed consultant in 2009.
He is widely recognised for introducing innovative surgical techniques and is a founder and medical director of LaserVision, helping advance modern eye-care treatments in the UK.
